Insecurity: Monguno Calls For More Synergy Among Security Agencies.

The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retired) has called for more synergy among security agencies in the fight against Terrorism, Banditry and other security threats in the country.

General Monguno gave the indication while delivering the keynote address at a 3 day Inter Agency workshop Organised by the Defence Headquarters on Abuja.

Represented by the Major General Emmanuel Ndagi, the NSA frowned at incidents of inter agency rivalry among security agencies noting that such friction constitutes major threat to internal security and national cohesion.

Monguno assured of the federal government continuous support to the nation’s security agencies in the discharge of their responsibilities saying the workshop offers opportunity on how best to collaborate for lasting meaningful accomplishments Earlier, in his remarks, the Chief of Defence Staff General Lucky Irabor said the workshop was put together to further expand the professional synergy, information sharing among the security agencies for optimal performance.

The 3 day workshop was attended by former Chief of Defence Staff, Martin Luther Agwai who in his submission advocated the need for law enforcement agencies to develop a symbolic relationship as an important pre condition for success in all operations.

The theme of the workshop is ” Strengthening Inter Agency Cooperation for sustainable national security”.
