The year 2021 obviously is an eventful one for the nation’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other security concerns in the country. While victories were recorded in efforts to keep the country as one united entity as well as ensure safety of lives ,the armed forces also had their low moments. Irrespective of what must have transpired in the various theater operations,it’s leadership insists on reasons to be grateful to God Almighty. At an interdenominational service held at the Defence Headquarters Chapel Abuja, military personnel were rededicated to God with pledge to always magnify the Almighty in everything. Accordingly, Rev. Sub. Lieutenant Emmanuel Chilee said the service presents the platform for the armed forces to celebrate and appreciate the almighty God for his goodness upon their lives. The service was attended by the Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Navy and Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Elisha Ishaku Abbo who in his remarks commended the military personnel for their sacrifices to the nation. Earlier, the Chairperson thanksgiving Committee, Squadron Leader Anthonia Egbujiobi thanked the leadership of the Armed forces for supporting the initiative. Various hierarchy in the nations armed forces were represented at the thanksgiving service, which is an annual ritual observed at the end of every calendar year.
