That was the swearing-in of Prof. Adeniran Tella as a Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) at a ceremony held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja.
In his remarks, INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, congratulated the new appointee and charged him to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Prof. Amupitan stressed that the integrity of Nigeria’s elections is non-negotiable, warning that any compromise on INEC’s values and procedures will not be tolerated.
