The Chairman of Labour Party, Julius Abure has once again reaffirmed the authenticity of the National working committee of the party under his leadership.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja,Abure said the recent ruling of the supreme Court on the party leadership validates the March 27,2024 convention of the party held in Nnewi, Anambra state.
Speaking through the National publicity secretary of the party, Obiora Iloh, Abure indicated that the apex court judgement recognized the supremacy of Political parties’ constitution, a development that gave legal backing to the national convention that produced the present leadership.
The LP leadership further blamed Governor Alex Otti and former presidential candidate Peter Obi for the present leadership crisis rocking the party.
While urging all interested parties to abide by the apex court ruling, Abure said the briefing became necessary in view of several misinterpretations to deceive the public and the independent National Electoral Commission. (INEC)
