Humanitarian Affairs Ministry Launches Revised Service Charter, Rewards Deserving Staff

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has launched revised service charter for the ministry’s officials and partners. 

Speaking at the event in Abuja, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq, said the document is a compendium that gives an overview of the Ministry, also for complaint and redress mechanisms. 

She said the main purpose of having a charter is to define the service experience that the client will have with the organization and the responsibilities of both the Ministry and the client.

On his part, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Dr Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, said despite the Ministry being the youngest in the country, it has one of the best service delivery, with social inclusion and protection of its management staff.

Highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding staff of the ministry, who were gifted TV sets in appreciation of their efforts in helping the ministry achieve its objectives.
