FRSC Redeploys Senior Officers, Appoints Ogungbemide As Assistant Corps Marshal (Operations)

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved a strategic redeployment of senior officers of the Corps as part of efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness, enhance institutional coordination and reposition the organisation for improved service delivery.

In a statement issued by Agboola Olundegun, Assistant Corps Commander (Administration) at the Corps Public Education Office, the former Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, mni, has been appointed Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.

The appointment places Ogungbemide at the helm of the Corps’ critical operational arm responsible for nationwide enforcement coordination and strategic field operations.

He previously served as Sector Commander in Lagos State and is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

In a related development, Felicia Kalu, MNIPR, formerly the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, has been elevated to serve as Acting Corps Public Education Officer. In her new role, she will oversee the Corps’ public communication, media engagement and nationwide road safety advocacy campaigns.

Other postings approved by the Corps Marshal include the redeployment of Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, who moves from Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command to assume duty as Corps Intelligence Officer at the national headquarters.
Similarly, Corps Commander HA Ibrahim has been posted from Corps Commander (Manpower) at the Federal Road Safety Corps Academy to take over as Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command.

Corps Commander HA Ogundayo has also been redeployed from Corps Commander (National Traffic Radio) at the Corps Public Education Office, National Headquarters, to Corps Commander (NTR) at the Corps Marshal’s Office.

In the same vein, Deputy Corps Commander OJ Ohaeri, fnipr, has been moved from Deputy Corps Commander (Marshal Inspector) in the Administration and Human Resources Department at the Road Safety Headquarters to serve as Deputy Corps Public Education Officer.

Mohammed noted that the redeployments are part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Corps for greater efficiency, professionalism and improved service delivery across all formations.

He urged the affected officers to bring their wealth of experience and commitment to bear in their new assignments.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to creating safer roads across Nigeria through strengthened operations, intelligence-driven enforcement, strategic public education and sustained collaboration with stakeholders.
