The French Government has thrown its weight behind Nigeria in the fight against terrorism and insurgency bedeviling the country.
This was made known by the French Minister of Europe Union and Foreign Affairs, Jean Noel Barrot who led a high-level delegation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar in Abuja.
He said French like Nigeria has had its own terrible experience of attacks by terrorist groups at different times as such are committed to joining force in tackling the situation in the country.
He also highlighted collaboration with Nigeria to strengthened bilateral ties across economic, cultural, and technological sectors.
Earlier, the Minister of Foreign, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar said the visit was part of efforts to fulfil the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The French delegation has since left for Lagos State as part of its working visit
