The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje has attributed insecurity and banditry as some of the major limiting factor of food security in Nigeria.
The APC Chairman who disclosed this in Abuja at the 12th ASAN – NIAS joint annual meeting with the theme Pathways To Addressing The Challenges of Climate Change In Animal Agriculture said farmers herders crisis also played huge role in the nation’s food insufficiency.
The former Kano State Governor who was the Chairman of the occasion said despite the setback, effort is in top gear through President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on Food Security to correct the anomaly.
High point of the occasion was the induction of the APC National Chairman as an Honourary Fellow College of Animal Scientists of Nigeria.
