FG Restates Commitment To Human Rights Protection.

The Federal Government has restated commitment to the promotion and protection of human rights in the Country.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami disclosed this when the Governing council of the National Human Rights Commission, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.

The Minister said the Buhari led administration has established a compensational approach to governance, by advancing the service of human rights in Nigeria.

He assured the delegation of support especially as it relates to discharge of it’s statutory responsibilities.

Earlier in her remarks, the Chairperson Governing council of National Human Rights Commission, Salamatu Suleiman, commended the minister for the support extended to the Commission. .

She however called for the approval of the National Action Plan by the Federal Executive Council.

The high point of the event, was the presentation of the National Action Plan and other publication of the commission to the Attorney General.
