FG Must Address Housing Challenges To Curb Insecurity In Nigeria – Expert

The coordinator of the Africa International Housing Show, Festus Adebayo has expressed the view that the spate of insecurity in Nigeria can be curbed if the Federal Government takes drastic steps in addressing challenges posed by the housing deficit in the country.

Speaking at the grand finale of the 16th annual Africa International Housing Show in Abuja, Adebayo lamented the difficulty private investors go through in sourcing for funds through mortgage banks for housing development.

He further disclosed that the 4-day housing show has Exposed the importance of the housing sector to productivity,security and human development.

A real estate developer, Femi Adewale on his part advocated the need for both public and private sector partnership for affordable housing to Nigerians.

The highlight of the event that attracted stakeholders in the housing sector was the award of excellence to some notable personalities who have contributed to the growth of the sector.
