The FCT Police Command has arrested 3 suspects connected with the recent attack on a Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village Orozo, which led to death of one of the campers, Johnson John.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh confirmed this in a statement issued to journalists in Abuja.
She said the Karishi Divisional Police Officer, Mbang Usang acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased apprehended the three suspects believed to be connected to the incident.
The suspects arrested include; Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village Karshi.
According to the statement, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased.
The suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.
Adeh reaffirmed the FCT Police Commissioner,CP Ajao’s commitment to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.
The Command deeply appreciates the continued cooperation of residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders, and urges members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding, the statement added.
