Export Reject: FG Sets Up six Regulatory Measure Approaches For Exporters

As part of efforts to address the challenges of constant rejection of export products from Nigeria at the international market especially in the United Kingdom, the Federal Government has began the implementation of six regulatory-measure approaches to address the situation.

The Director General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.

She said due to non-compliance with advisory guidelines by exporters as well as adhere to the minimal international sanitary measures, non oil products with Nigeria origin are rejected in the international market.

The NAFDAC boss said the agency held a scheduled side event with the UK Food Standard Agency (FSA) in order to change the narrative. Meanwhile, NAFDAC urged Nigerian exporters to obtain all necessary certification for their products.
