There is no doubt that the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic exposed the weaknesses in global health system. This development however created opportunity for nations of the world to restructure their health agenda and systems to mitigate the spread of the virus. One of such initiative is the USAID E WASH collaboration with the Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) and other Civil Society Organisation. At a virtual ceremony to launch the campaign in Abuja, Executive Director of WEWE represented by the Programme Director, Nneka Okereke said its cardinal focus is on activities that will stem the spread of covid 19 in the country. She said the initiative will provide improved access to accurate information on covid19 prevention as well as address the rise in the dissemination of fake news and stigmatisation of survivors of the disease.
