A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Jabi has ordered for the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, pending the determination of a substantive suit. The Judge, Justice Danlami Senchi, gave the directive following an application of interlocutory injunction filed by an applicant, Oluwale Afolabi asking the court to suspend the APC National Chairman, having been suspended as a member of the party in Edo State. In his application dated and filed on January 16, 2020, Mr Afolabi contended that Comrade Oshiomhole as it stands has lost his rights as an APC member and cannot continue as the party’s National Chairman. He argued that the former Edo State Governor, cannot continue to enjoy benefits from the party, despite his suspension as a member of the party. In his ruling, Justice Senchi said the APC wrongfully kept Comrade Oshiomhole as its National Chairman as such ordered for him to stop parading himself as the party’s leader. The Judge however, asked the APC to desist from acknowledging Oshiomhole as the party’s National Chairman as well as not grant him access to the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
