Corruption: Aggrieved Lawyers Storm NASS, Demand Sack Of NMDPRA Boss

A group of aggrieved lawyers have called for the immediate sack of the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Ahmed Farouk for alleged corrupt practices.

The lawyers made the demand while taking their protest to the entrance of the Presidential Villa before proceeding to the National Assembly in Abuja.

According to the lawyers, led by the convener, Samuel Ihensekhien, the NMDPRA boss allegedly diverted over $5 million of public funds to finance his children’s education in elite institutions in Switzerland and India.

They group also called on relevant security agencies to collaborate with its international partners to ensure that the embattled NMDPRA Chief Executive Officer is brought to book.

They however, called for the immediate freezing of his local and offshore assets.
