A civil society group, Arewa Youths for Peaceful Coexistence, has called on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara to immediately retract the signed 2025 budget as due process was not followed.
The FCT Coordinator of the group, Mark Okpanachi Ogah made the call at a news conference in Abuja. He said the signing into law of the budget will further deepen instead of resolving the existing crisis.
Mr Ogah pointed out that the political developments in Rivers State have raised significant concerns about the principles of justice, gratitude, and respect for the rule of law.
He also reminded Governor Fubara the vital role played by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in his political ascent to power.
The group however, used the forum to thank President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the establishment of North Central Development Commission
