The Arewa Youths for Peaceful Coexistence has called on security agencies to probe the threats on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike by former Niger Delta freedom fighter, Asari Dokubo.
The FCT chapter of the Group led by Mark Ogah gave the indication at a news conference in Abuja. He condemned the baseless attacks on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike by a non-state actor who has no jurisdiction to interfere in matters beyond his remit, particularly issues pertaining to Rivers State.
The Group further noted that the attack was an attempt to undermine the achievements of the former Rivers State Governor who has demonstrated uncommon character and competence in governance.
They maintained that Nigeria is a sovereign state governed by the rule of law, with no individual including Asari Dokubo above the law.
