The Call on Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to contest for the position of President in 2023 has continued to gather momentum.
This is as the All Progressive Congress, APC States legislators have thrown their weight behind the Governor’s Presidential aspiration.
The legislators who paid the Governor a solidarity visit at the Kogi Governor’s Lodge Abuja said the nation need a vibrant youth to take over power from president Buhari.
The National Coordinator of the APC Legislators and Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole attributed their demand to Governor Bello’s leadership qualities and monumental strides in Kogi state.
Kolawole further advocated reasons why the APC should zone the 2023 presidency to the North Central.
Responding, Gov. Yahaya Bello commended the legislators and other groups that have endorsed him for the 2023 presidency saying he will make his intention known in the nearest future.
It remains to be seen if Gov Bello will join the likes of APC National Leader Bola Tinubu, Senator Rochas Okorocha among others that have so far indicated interest in the presidency on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
