Alausa Rates 2025 UTME High, Says Meets Global Standards.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa has commended the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the conduct of the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) saying it meets all international standards for integrity, coordination, and monitoring.

Dr. Alausa gave the indication after monitoring the examination in some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in Bwari, Abuja.

The minister commended the JAMB management for deployment of innovation for the examination to check examination related frauds.

Alausa who restated the Tinubu led administration commitment to change the narrative in various sectors of the economy disclosed that beginning from the November 2025 examinations, both the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) will adopt computer based testing for their objective tests.

Earlier, the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of this year’s UTME, while also clarifying insinuations that candidates were posted to centers outside their examination town.

The Registrar further disclosed that over 1.4 million candidates have so far written the examination with about 40 impersonators arrested.
