After three months of industrial action, leading to 10 interactive meetings with representatives of the Nigerian government, students of public owned universities now have a reason to rejoice with the decision by the Academic Staff Union of Universities to suspend its industrial action. Addressing the media in Abuja, ASUU president, Prof Bisi Ogunyemi, said the proposal and commitment made by the federal government to address issues for the agreement reached with the union since 2013, informed the decision to suspend the strike.
