The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police Tunji Disu, has confirmed the arrest of two suspects involved in a ‘one-chance’ robbery by police operatives in Abuja. He said the suspects Ibrahim Kabiru and Okechukwu Ngerem were arrested at different locations within the capital territory.
Speaking while parading the suspects in Abuja, Disu who disclosed that the police command successfully foiled five one chance robbery operations in the period under review added that a pregnant woman, Doris Gabriel was also rescued along the Idu industrial area road.
The police also paraded other suspects for various criminal offences including one David Maji, a dismissed police officer and Awal Mustafa who were both arrested for vandalism of streetlight cables around the Maitama Axis of Abuja.
The FCT police boss further narrated how one Emmanuel Linus was arrested for impersonating a Nigerian Army officer.
The FCT police commissioner assured residents of the command’s unwavering commitment to protection of lives and property in the capital territory insisting that there is no hiding place for criminal elements.
