The candidate of the Accord Party, in the 8th November 2025, Anambra State governorship election, Sir Chidi C. Onyeeze has received his certificate of return for his victory in the party’s primaries on 8th April 2025, in Awka, Anambra State.
Accompanied by party supporters in Anambra State including the State Chairman, Prince Bartho Igwedibia, his campaign Director General, Hon. (Mrs) Uju Izuakor, Sir Onyeeze received the certificate of return from the National Chairman of the party, Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem.
According to a statement by Hon.Joseph Omorogbe, National Publicity Secretary of the party, issued in Abuja Barr. Mgbudem assured him of the party’s support and urged the good people of Anambra State to vote for the Accord candidate.
He said Accord has presented the best candidate for the election who has the capacity, vision and integrity to transform Anambra State and provide the dividends of democracy to the people.
The Accord chairman stated that Anambra State is very strategic as the commercial hub of the South East and deserves a resourceful, innovative and pragmatic governor with enormous political sagacity and leadership acumen to formulate and implement pro-people policies and projects that will turn the state to Dubai of Africa. He said the current and previous administrations in the state failed to fulfill their campaigns promises to the people particularly in curbing insecurity as there will be no development without public safety and order.
Mgbudem urged Ndi Anambra to be in one accord, take their destinies in their hands and vote for the party’s candidate for unity, security, prosperity and infrastructural development. He expressed optimism that the party’s candidate will win the November gubernatorial election and make Anambra State great again.
The candidate, Chidi Onyeeze thanked the leadership of the party for the confidence reposed in him to fly its flag and urged Ndi Anambra to embrace Accord and vote for the party for sustainable development, security and prosperity. He said it is time to restore Anambra to its past glory, adding that he will run an issue-based campaign highlighting his blueprint for the rapid development of the state that will foster peace, unity and inclusivity in governance.
The campaign Director General, Hon. (Mrs) Uju Izuakor on her part said the party looks forward to a robust campaign and urged INEC to be firm, resolute and committed to conducting a free, fair, credible, inclusive and peaceful election, stressing that every vote must be counted and and reflect in the overall result. She also expressed optimism that the party will emerge victorious in the November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state.
The Accord National Secretary, Hon. Dr Abiola A. Ajaja, National Organizing Secretary, Elder Ibe ThankGod , National Treasurer, Hon. Salaluideen Abdullazeez, Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Abdulrahman Muhammed were among the national officers at the presentation of the certificate of return to the Governorship candidate.
