The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has admitted that technical glitches affected candidates’ performance during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.
Oloyede took responsibility for what he described as a “sabotage” of the 2025 UTME.
He however said the board has rescheduled fresh UTME for 379,997 candidates in the five States of the South-East and Lagos State.
The JAMB boss further indicated that the affected candidates will start getting text messages from Thursday.
Of the 1.9 million candidates who sat the UTME, over 1.5 million reportedly scored below 200 out of the maximum 400 marks, a development that attracted reactions across the education sector.
End.
