The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says over 1.1 million candidates have so far registered to sit for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede disclosed this while monitoring the registration exercise is some CBT centres in Abuja.
Oloyede who expressed satisfaction with the registration process however frowned at the conduct of some schools that negates thee laws guilding the UTME.
The JAMB boss however affirmed the resolve of the Board to sanction centres that extort candidates.
Prof Oloyede also quick to add that the Board would not extend deadline for the 2023 Unified UTME registration.
Oloyede, during the tour visited CBT centre located at Total Child International School, Dutse, JAMB Abuja zonal office, Life Camp, Global Distance Learning Institute and Sascon International College, Abuja respectively
