Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Okwudili Nwa-Anyajike has emerged as the presidential candidate of National Rescue Mission, NRM. Mwa-Anyajike, clinched the Presidential ticket at a special convention attended by party leaders and members drawn from the six geo-political zones of the country.
He scored 180 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prof. Benedicta Egbo who pulled 30 votes just as six aspirants stepped down in the contest.
Speaking shortly after being declared winner in the primaries, the Presidential Candidate commended the process and urged Nigerians to join him in the task to reposition the Nation on the path of greatness.
Earlier in his remarks, the NRM National Chairman, Chigozie Udeh expressed reservation at the state of the Nation saying next year’s general elections presents opportunity for Nigerians to take their destiny into their hands.
241 accredited delegates participated in the special convention of the party held in Abuja.
