2023: CSO,s, Parties Pass Vote Of Confidence On lNEC.

The 2023 general elections may have come and gone,but the intrigues that characterised the conduct of the poll have continued to generate discuss especially with various cases at the election tribunals.

This meeting comprising of key stakeholders in the nations electoral process including Civil society Organisations, Political Parties and Presidential candidates was convened by the Civil Society Central Coordinating Council to further analysis the issues that played out and set a conversation on the way forward.

Top on the agenda was the call from some quarters for the resignation of the INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu which the stakeholders rejected saying the nations number one electoral umpire was being victimized unjustly.

The round table further adopted a vote of confidence on the INEC chairman inview of the various reform’s the commission has implemented to add value to the nations electoral process
