Over 120 foreign and domestic election observers group monitored the conduct of the 2019 general elections. As expected, these groups after the polls turn in their findings and recommendations with the sole purpose to enhance the conduct of future elections in the country. Both the International Republican Institute and National Democratic Institute election observation mission observed the recent general election. Revelation from the final report and recommendations as released by both institutes at a news conference in Abuja indicated that the election fall significantly short of standards set in 2015.
