Nigeria has recorded 659 confirmed cases of Lasser Fever in 23 states across the country. Report from the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control NCDC indicates that Edo, Bauchi, and Ondo states topped the infection chart with 69 percent.
Briefing newsmen at a news conference in Abuja, NCDC Director General, Dr Ifedayo Adetifa who warned against the rising of the disease in the country.
He however disclosed measures being put in place to address the challenge. Minister of State Health, Sen Adeleke Mamora on his part, admonished Nigerians on ethical practices against preventable diseases.
Other stakeholders took turns to update Nigerians on measures deployed by their various agencies to safeguard the health of the nation. The need for Nigerians to continue to adhere to the COVID 19 precautions was also emphasized at the briefing.
