The newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund,TetFund, Arc Sunny Echono has restated commitment to drive research and development as key components of the Funds mandate.
Arc Echono stated this after taking over the affairs of the fund from Prof Sulieman Bogoro at TETfund headquarters in Abuja.
The former Permanent Secretary, federal ministry of Education, solicited the support of staff and management of TETfund, promising to build on existing policies targeted at adding value to the nation’s tertiary education sub sector.
Echono further called for more investment in the nation’s education system saying the gesture will help change the narrative especially as it affects performance indicators in the sector.
Earlier the former Executive Secretary,TetFund, Prof Suleiman Bogoro who recently concluded his tenure transferred the mantle of leadership including handover notes to Arc. Echono.
