Former Governor of Zamfara State, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari has picked the chairmanship nomination form of the All Progressive Congress APC for the March 26th National Convention in Abuja.
Recall,the ruling APC had zoned the position of it’s national chairman to the North central geopolitical zone. However, Sen.
Tijani Ayakaura who led a delegation to pick the form on Yari’s behalf in a chat with newsmen at the APC headquarters in Abuja said the decision to contest for the position was informed by contending issues surrounding the zoning formula.
Meanwhile, loyalists of former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who feelers indicate is the anointed candidate for the position were also on ground to purchase the expression of interest form for their principal to contest for the national chairmanship position.
The Group lead by the Director General of Adamu Campaign organisation Hon. Lawrence Unuchukwu after picking the form said, the former Governor has the capacity and the capability to pilot the affairs of the APC. 5 aspirants have so far picked the APC chairmanship nomination form.
