A civil society group with the name One Nigeria has called for equal distribution of power in the country, in order to attend a peaceful, united and progressive nation.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Spokesperson of the group, Lanre Oluwaniyi said there should be equitable distribution of social, economic and political wealth of the nation.
He said the President should promote a sense of belonging for all citizens through the provision of equal opportunity in all sections of the Nigerian state.
The group further called on the government to prioritize the security of lives and property of the citizens adding that bandits have made the highways death traps with series of kidnappings and outrageous ransoms being demanded.
The theme of the news conference is “power rotation, key components for nation building and equity”.
