The Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, National Secretary of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), John James Akpanudoedehe, has debunked report of his resignation.
The caretaker secretary was reported on Tuesday to have packed his belongings from the party’s national secretariat in Abuja amidst the ongoing leadership change.
Addressing newsmen at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Akpanudoedehe clarified that he remains the party secretary until he hears from President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Akwa Ibom born politician insisted that he awaits the arrival of Gov Mai Mala Buni whom he described as the National Chairman of the party.
Recall that when the news of change in the APC leadership broke up, the secretary had issued a statement where he authoritatively dismissed the report indicating that it’s fake news.
