The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) to ensure proper execution of projects.
The Executive Secretary of UBEC, Dr Hamid Bobboyi, who spoke while signing the MoU in Abuja said the idea is to provide conducive learning environment for learning in the country.
Bobboyi said COREN will engage in monitoring of the Commission’s projects at least twice a month once the project started.
In his remarks, the Registrar of COREN, Professor Joseph Odigure indicated plans to use resident engineers to monitor the UBEC projects across the 36 states and the federal capital territory.
The MOU is to ensure COREN perfectly monitor UBEC projects for proper and quality delivery.
