The president at a grand reception in Abuja to honour the WMA president elect, said such elevation is inline with his believe that Nigerians can compete successfully anywhere and be among the best.
He said the nation will take advantage of the WMA presidency to advocate for world universal health coverage among other health targets.
Earlier, the president Nigeria Medical Association, Prof Innocent Ujah who said Dr Osahon Enabulele has done the nations medicine profession proud noted that the occasion indicates the first time a west African physician will be elected as president of the global body of physicians since it establishment in 1947.
On his part elected Dr Enabulele expressed gratitude to the honour done him. Expressing optimism to use the position to better the lots of the nations health system.
Dr Enabulele is a strategic thinker and a visionary, public affairs analyst, civil and human rights and health activist and past president of the Nigerian Medical Association.
