The Federal Ministry Of Health, has launched a five year media engagement strategy for health promotion in Nigeria. This is aimed at closing the gap and strengthening the relationship between the ministry and its media partners. Speaking during a media sensitization programme organized by the ministry in Abuja, Director of Health Promotion Division, Ladidi Ayegbusi says the overview of the strategy is about providing guiding blueprint of how the health sector will work effectively with the media. Veteran journalist,Moji Makanjuola, on her part expressed worry that Nigerians still die from preventable diseases, attributing the role of the media to change the narrative. Highlight of the event were presentation of the FMoH implementation plan and media engagement strategy for health promotion in Nigeria.
