The Allied People’s Mandate (APM) has called on president Mohammadu Buhari to sign into law the amended Electoral Act recently passed by the National Assembly.
This was part of decisions reached at the party’s emergency executive council meeting held at it’s national headquarters in Abuja.
National Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle said the gesture will enable the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC prepare adequately for the 2023 general election.
The State of the Nation especially as it relates to insecurity and other challenges also top discuss at the meeting with the Party leadership demanding more commitment from the government.
Other highlights of the NEC meeting includes a vote of confidence on the Alhaji Dantalle leadership of the APM and resolution for possible alliance with like minded political parties ahead of the 2023 general elections.
