Ahead Of the February 26 National Convention of the ruling All Progressive Congress, a group known as the APC Youth Development and Progressive Forum has called for immediate postponement of the exercise. The group which made its position known at a press conference in Abuja called other APC faithful to boycott the convention due to existing crisis from the aftermath of local and state congresses conducted in some state chapters of the party. The Secretary-General of the Forum, Tobias Ogbeh, further warned of trend of mass defections and litigation if the convention is allowed to hold. The group however urged members of the APC to unite and agree on a genuine way forward, devoid of destructive tendencies that may jeopardize the fortune of the ruling party.
