It was a mammoth crowd in Abuja on Tuesday, as women from across country converge for a solidarity walk in support of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, who they said had all it takes to be President of Nigeria in 2023.
The women drawn from over 600 groups across the country, stormed the Department of Arts and Culture Exhibition Pavilion, to indicate their support for the Governor.
The coalition under the umbrella of Women United for Yahaya Bello (WUYABEL), after their solidarity walk, tagged, “One Million Women March for Yahaya Bello”, maintained that getting the Governor to run for president in 2023 remains their sole agenda.
President, National Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Vera Ndanusa, said the mammoth crowd that participated in the march, was a reflection of the importance of women in the present political dispensation.
Meanwhile, Ace Nollywood Actress, Binta Ayo-Mogaji, who led many other stars, including Ayo Adesanya, Dupe Jaiyesinmi, Rose Odika, Lanre Hassan (Mama Awero) and Madam Kofo, among many others, made case for gender inclusiveness in the nation’s political space.
Global President, WUYABEL, Dr. Hannatu Abubakar Adeeko, on her part urged other state governments to emulate Governor Bello’s strides in women empowerment and emancipation.
They all agreed to work for the actualisation of Governor Bello’s presidency in 2023.
