Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello has urged Nigerians to shun all forms of Religious Sentiments and imbibe positive attitudes that will continue to promote peaceful coexistence in the country.
The Governor made the call when a delegation from the Northern States Christian Association of Nigeria visited him in Abuja. Bello who likened the peace currently enjoyed in kogi state to strategy deployed by his administration to carry all ethnic and religious groups along, attributed the gesture to reasons why the north central state was yet to witnessed any major religious crisis.
He added that government can only deliver democratic dividends to the people when peace thrives among the subjects. Gov. Bello who further reel out some of his achievements in the State including building an edifice of worship in the Government house pledged his support to the northern CAN.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and Vice Chairman, Northern CAN, Rev, Fr. Andrew Dodo applauded Gov. Bello for his patriotism and religious tolerance saying Nigeria needs a leader with such qualities at the helm of affairs.
The delegation further supported Calls for Gov. Bello to show interest in the 2023 presidency.
