Buhari Thumbs Up Police, Hands-Over 200 New Operational Vehicles, Gadgets To Combat Insecurity

As part of effort to check the increasing insecurity situation in the country, 200 new operational vehicles and modern security equipments were handed over to the Nigerian Police Force by the Federal Government.
The gesture according to President Mohammadu Buhari was part of his administration mandate to deepen security and safety across the country.
Represented at the official handing over and commissioning ceremony at the Force Headquarters in Abuja,by the Minister of Police Affairs,  Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, the President said the Government is determined to address the security challenges confronting the countrythrough numerous intervention programmes.
         
He also assured the force of government’s plan to enhance their welfare in order to achieve its constitutional mandate of ensuring law and order.
           
On his part, the Inspector General of Police  Usman Alkali Baba, while  expressing gratitude to President Mohammadu Buhari assured  of the readiness of the Nigerian Police to partner with Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the operational  efficiency and service delivery of the force. 
         
Earlier, the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto gave the analysis and values of the 200 Buffalo trucks, 1600 units of protective gear, COVID 19 kits and medical equipments.
             
The force however, called on Nigerians and corporate bodies to key into the security intervention programme as government can not do it alone.
