As part of it’s build up activities for the conduct of the 2022 Housing and Population Census, the National Population Commission Organised a capacity building workshop for its public affairs Officers from the 36 states and the federal capital territory.
The workshop the commission noted underscores it’s determination to effectively mobilise Nigerians on its various activities. In his keynote address to the participants, NPC Chairman, Hon Nasir Kwarra restated believe that the exercise will help in the effective delivery of the Commission’s mandate.
He said the program is expected to enhance the understanding of the public affairs offices on the strategic direction of the commission and their expected roles. Earlier, the chairman Public Affairs Committee Dr Eyitayo Oyetunji said the programme is part of strategy by the public Affairs department to reengineer it’s officers for improved productivity and efficiency inline with the mission and vision of the commission.
The theme of the 5 day workshop is “‘Getting the people involved”.
