Troops Arrest Notorious Terrorist, Haladu Saleh, Neutralize Several Others In Borno- DHQ

The Defence headquarters says the Armed forces and other Security Agencies will continue to deploy both kinetic and non kinetic operations against Terrorists Bandits and other criminal elements in efforts to attain sustainable peace in the country. Briefing newsmen on the activities of various operations across the country in the last 2 weeks, the acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General Bernard Onyeuko said though a few setback was recorded on the part of the armed forces, tremendous achievements were recorded from series of land and air operations in different locations within Operation HADARIN DAJI area of responsibility including interventions from troops of operations SAFE HAVEN and WHIRLSTROKE to rid the northwest and north central of activities of Bandits. Also, the arrest of notorious terrorists,Haladu Saleh who had been on the wanted list of the military since 2018 and other engagement of troops of Operation HADIN KAI in the Baga axis,Askira Uba and Biu- Demboa part of Borno state was also mentioned at the briefing. Furthermore, General Onyeuko noted that 41 illegal refining sites including large dugout pits in the South South zone was discovered and immobilized by Troops of Operation DELTA SAFE. Raid operations in some IPOB enclaves in the South East was also carried out by troops within the period in focus. While assuring of the Armed forces commitment to restore peace and stability in the country, the military high command lauds the efforts of the troops for their resilience and unrelenting commitment as well as urged the general public to support it’s effort by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements.
