The 7th Network of Sexual Assault Referral Center Conference in Commemoration of the 2021 edition of the 16 Days of Activism of Gender based violence has commenced in Abuja. The conference put together by the Rule of Law and Anti corruption RULAC in collaboration with the federal government is focused on fast tracking the judicial process for Sexual and Gender Base Violence (SGBV) cases. Delivering her welcome remarks, the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen who made case for quick justice for offenders of Gender Base Violence in the country, highlighted several related cases left unattended in courts. On his part, the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, represented by the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Victoria Fila Ojogbane, reaffirmed the commitment of the ministry in the fight against Sexual and Gender Base Violence. Other speakers at the conference joined calls in declaration of Zero tolerance for SGBV For all in this conference, the place of special courts to handle SGBV cases is key to reducing the rising trend of the challenge across the country.
