The federal government campaign against conspiracy theories over the ongoing vaccination against Covid 19 seems to be paying off as more Nigerians have continued to embrace the exercise . Though some school of thoughts have tied the recent successes of the campaign to the December 1st deadline issued by the Federal Government for it’s workforce to get vaccinated, statistics from the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency proofed otherwise as over 5 million Nigerians have been administered with the first dose of the Covid 19 vaccine, while 2,803,551 others have taken both jabs. A visit to one of the vaccination sites at Area 3 Garki , Abuja metropolis by Channel Network Afrique crew indicates that the campaign is fast gaining grounds across the capital city with residents coming out at will to be vaccinated. The centre supervisor and deputy director NPHCDA, Amaechi- Ezeaneche Princess affirmed that the turnout has greatly improved compared to when the vaccination exercise commenced. For Nathan Ibrahim and others that just took the jab, their decision was informed by need to stay safe. They further cautioned against conspiracy theories, and urged other Abuja residents to do the needful. Available Information from the federal ministry of Health implies that Nigeria have adequate vaccines to cover more than 50 percent of eligible population by the end of the first quarter of 2022. End.
