Nigerian Police authorities have paraded 48 persons for their involvement in the offences bordering on alleged homicide, kidnapping, armed robbery, unlawful possession of fire arms, car theft, burglary, among others. The Force Public Relations Officer CP Frank Mba who paraded the suspects in Abuja said they were arrested by members of the Special Tactical Squad department of the Nigerian Police. One of the suspects, Abubakar Haliru, 21 years old from Zaria is said to have masterminded the kidnap of his cousin, Binta Mohammed. Speaking on another case of kidnap that allegedly took the life of one Chinedu, Mba advised Nigerians to be courageous and exercise patience while in the hands of kidnappers. He further appealed to members of the public to volunteer information that will help the police saying that there is a need for collaboration with the local law enforcement agents to deepen the communal safety. Items recovered from the suspects includes, 24 assorted weapons consisting of 1 Gpmg, 3 Ak47 riffles, 9 Ak49 riffles, 495 Ak47 live ammunitions, 10 laptops of various mix amongst others.
