2023: CUPP Alleges Plot To Scuttle Electoral Amendment Process, Warns Against Further Borrowings.

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) says it has uncovered plot to scuttle the ongoing electoral act amendment at the National Assembly. This is as the coalition further alleged plans by the ruling All Progressive Congress APC to derail the 2023 general election by ensuring the electoral amendment process is not completed before the conduct of the 2023 general elections. Addressing a news conference in Abuja, spokesperson of the coalition, Ugochinyere Ikenga express worry that the general elections might not meet the expectations of Nigerians as intelligence report by the coalition suggest move the lawmakers to ensure that the clamour for electronic transmission of results does not see the light of the day. He vowed that the coalition will mobilise Nigerians to resist the move especially as it relates to attempt to rob the Independent National Electoral Commission it’s independence as guaranteed in the constitution.
