The Federal Government has launched the maiden edition of the Nigeria Vaccine Policy and the 3rd edition of the National Drug Policy.
Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire who presided over the launch in Abuja said the policy will complement the existing immunisation policy as well as help in reducing vaccine preventable diseases in the country.
He said vaccines are recognised globally for its importance in reducing preventable diseases which was further demonstrated with the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic that forced countries to scramble in vaccines productions to combat the effect among its citizens.
