Sex Scandal: Ohakim Vows To Appeal Court Order By Malami To Prosecute Him
The former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim has vowed to appeal the decision of the Federal High Court in Abuja that granted leave for the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami to take over his prosecution for an alleged threat to release a nude photographs of his ex-lover, Chinyere Amuchienwa
In a statement by his counsel, Aloy Ejimakor and made available to Channel Network Afrique (CNA) Ohakim said the decision by Justice Taiwo Taiwo allowing the AGF to take over his prosecution after being exonerated by the police amounts to double Jeopardy.
The statement noted that the Charges were already discontinued by the Nigeria Police after being aware that it was brought in disobedience of an extant order of a competent court.
The statement however, drew the attention of the public to the fact that Amuchinwa is already standing trial before an FCT High court after the police forensic evidence revealed that she produced the said nude video she accused Ohakim of.
