Breaking: INEC Set To Publish Final List Of Governorship,State House Of Assembly Candidates

The Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission has disclosed plans to publish the final list of candidates for Governorship,state House of Assembly and the Federal Capital Territory Area Council Elections. INEC Chairman,Prof MAHMOOD YAKUBU gave the indication at the swearing in of a new Resident Electoral Commissioner for Bayelsa State, Monday Tom at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja. Mr Tom’s nomination as a Resident Electoral Commissioner was last week confirmed by the Nigerian senate. Osun however remains the only state without a Resident Electoral Commissioner as Nigerians march to the polls in less than three weeks.

In a related development,the nation’s Electoral body hosted a one day national youth summit in Abuja.
