As the world sustain the tempo of navigating out of the global economic disaster caused by the Corona Virus Pandemic, different bodies have come up with agricultural methods that promote development and self-reliance. One of the bodies is the Abundance of Hope Initiative who took out time to train women and young people in some rural communities in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on the use of organic fertilizer in growing farm produce. The Food Summit which is a move to give the people new lease of life from the impact of COVID-19 will support Nigeria’s desire to achieve all of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Speaking, the Program Officer, Abundance of Hope Initiative, Patience Braimo said the essence of the Food Summit is to sensitize farms on need to produce healthy food using organic materials. Some of the participants express challenges militating against food sufficiency in their communities. The theme for the 2021 Food Summit is “Building Resilience Towards Sustainable Food System”.
